The 2022 Honda PCX 160 boasts its image with a robust and elegant appearance. A fresher look compared to its previous versions, with sharper full-LED lights, an X-shaped tail lights and improved alloy wheels allowing better traction. At The Extra Mile we only have the ABS version, ensuring better safety for the streets of Vietnam. The full LCD instrumental panel has added visibility for a smoother experience. Engine & Performance
The PCX 160 is powered by the new 160cc engine from Honda with 4 valves (more stability and smoothness), liquid cooled of course, though in Vietnam heating has not been an issue for Honda scooters. It delivers close to 16 Hp, which is quite the power for a scooter. Its weight of 132kgs is well balanced with its power, creating great consistency of acceleration.
The fuel efficiency is around 45km/L! One full tank goes quite a way on the PCX 160. As usual for modern Honda bikes, the PCX 160 is equipped with an Idling Stop System and the new HSTC feature (traction control) which improves the lateral movement and turns. Check out the video, we tested it on a figure 8!
The seat is soft and comfortable, so you won’t feel sore even after long rides. And the big compartment under the seat (about 30 liters) means you can easily store your helmet, bag, or groceries—no extra baggage needed. Be mindful of this storage space to limit the added weight on the back if you attach a bag.

Is the PCX 160 worth its price in Vietnam?
Despite the increase in price in comparison with its original home of Indonesia, with a price tag between 90,000,000 VND and 95,000,000 VND, it is still worth it.
Unfortunately, Honda Vietnam stopped the production of all Honda PCX models in July 2021, making the current and newer versions very desirable and valuable. While it is still an unofficial import ignored by Honda Vietnam, we may only bring it with expensive customs and shipping charges. Regardless of the obstacles, the PCX 160 sells quite well in Vietnam, proving a demand from both locals and expatriates. Our opinion is that the PCX 160 offers some of the best comfort for a scooter and it is very durable, especially with the new engine. The feedback we get is only positive, hence we definitely recommend trying or owning this bike!
