• Tour Guide per day (has his own bike) –

Hotels, food and everything else are not included. The guide will have a motorbike, all other expenses are covered by the customer.

What is rent a guide?

This option is made for solo travelers or groups who like having a local expert by their side, but prefer to keep things loose. Our guide becomes your navigator, your interpreter, your backup—and more importantly, a friendly companion who helps you make the most of the journey, while letting you set the pace.

The two situations for rent a guide

1. A solo traveler looking for a trusty companion in unfamiliar water.
2. A group of riders who aren’t interested in a fully guided tour. Rent a guide will act as an assistance in previously mentioned needs of the group or in case something goes wrong. Read more below.

Now I will unpack the two situations further and explain in more detail.

Solo traveler who is looking for a trusty companion 

Most of our tours except for the 1 Day Mekong Loop or the 1 Day Dong Nai Off road Loop require a minimum of two riders. We don’t find combining travelers of different skill levels and objectives appealing for all party involved. This is the reason why ‘rent-a-guide’ would make sense for solo travelers.

With this service, you can hire one of our highly experienced guides to accompany you on your chosen route. It gives you full flexibility over route selection, meals, accommodation, and every detail in between.

You and your guide will work together to figure out what best suits your needs, travelling style and budgets.

• Having a translator that will prevent you from mistakes due to misunderstandings or worse: scams.
• The itinerary is mostly up to you, but our guide will gladly suggest and recommend alternatives.
• Have the guide check your bikes in the morning, all of our guides will have basic mechanic skills and are good riders.
• Have the guide’s bike as a backup motorbike in case of issues with other bikes in the group.

• Interpreting, whenever needs be
• Lead you or the group

• Picking restaurants, accommodations assistance
• Provide basic mechanic work or a spare bike

Pricing

Minimum number of days: 3*

• If the tour is below 5 days and finishes in a city different from the starting city. We will charge an additional $100 logistics/transport fee.
